News:- 8th May 2007 - Villager Transfer Tickets Introduced
- We are pleased to announce a new partnership between Midland Classic and Trent Barton, the operator of the Villager service between Burton and Derby. From 8th May 2007 passengers may board a Villager bus in Hatton, Tutbury and Rolleston and buy a transfer ticket to Andressey Corner (for Queen's Hospital) on our Service 21. Passengers simply alight the Villager service at Stretton Church and wait for a Midland Classic 21 to continue their journey. The same arrangement applies for the return journey. The agreement was made following letters in the Burton Mail after other direct services were withdrawn to the Hospital.
- 26th March 2007, the timetable was revised:
- Extra journeys to and from Swadlincote at peak times
- Route extended to Beam Hill, Harehedge Lane, Bitham Lane and Stretton to give residents a direct service to Horninglow
- Half-hourly service from Edge Hill to Stretton during the daytime
- Maximum fare £1 adult, 50p child anywhere within the Burton area
- Still only £1.50 single or £2.80 two trip South Derbyshire to Burton
- Mead Walk Estate - Sorry, the service has been withdrawn
- Queen's Hospital - Buses can no longer serve the turning circle, but will continue to serve Andressey Corner
- Valid Derbyshire Gold and Staffordshire Advantage passes accepted
- New departure bays in Burton and Swadlincote
